Small jobs with a defined scope
A loose shelf, sticking cupboard or unfinished trim can sit on the list for months. My Refresh welcomes enquiries for smaller improvements and repairs as well as larger carpentry projects. Start with a list of tasks and photographs so we can discuss suitability, the materials required and whether the jobs can sensibly be combined into a visit.
What to put on your job list
Typical enquiries include shelves, door or cupboard adjustments, minor carpentry repairs, trims, boxing-in and fitting selected household items. Tell us what the item is, where it will go and what the wall or surface is made from if known. A heavy shelf or wall-mounted item needs an appropriate fixing strategy; the right fittings are not always included in the packaging.
Useful information before a visit
Include your town or postcode, photographs of each task and any product links. Mention parking, access restrictions, stairs and whether you already have the materials. If a repair conceals more extensive damage, the work may need reassessment rather than being treated as a quick adjustment. Several clear tasks are easier to plan than an open-ended list on arrival.
Availability and limits
Work is accepted according to scope, location and availability. Urgent repair enquiries can be discussed, but no round-the-clock service or guaranteed emergency response is promised. Gas work, specialist electrical work and other regulated or specialist tasks must not be assumed to be included. Final scope and charges are agreed before booking.
Planning a project?
For standard doors, start with the online estimate. For other work, gather photos, dimensions and your postcode, then use the project planner to prepare your enquiry. Availability is confirmed before booking.
